Skylands Ice World

Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together. It uses the same judging system as singles, pairs and dance and is characterized by teamwork, speed, intricate formations and challenging step sequences. As with the other disciplines, all teams perform a free skate with required well-balanced program elements. In addition, teams at the junior and senior level perform a short program consisting of required elements.

Skylands Ice World is pleased to present our brand new synchro team, the New Jersey Black Diamonds!  The New Jersey Black Diamonds are entering their first competition on February 19, 2012 in Hersey PA. 

New for 2012, we are providing skaters the opportunity to get an introduction to the sport of Synchronized Skating.

The classes will be offered on Sundays 11:50am-12:50pm.  The skaters will prepare a performance number for our annual spring show.  More information to come regarding this program.
