Coaching Staff

Kings Coaching Staff for 2008-09

Mark Weaver Mark leads the entire coaching staff as the Kings ACE Coordinator / Director of Coaching.  For the 0809 season, he will coach our top PeeWee team, a Midget short season and work with all teams at weekday practices to focus on skill development.  Mark comes to the Kings with 10+ years of youth hockey coaching experience, (most recently was head coach of the Kings squirt and bantam teams).  Mark is an Advanced level IV USA Hockey coach. 

Barry Stokes - Midget Short Season Coach.  Barry has played for the Army team in West Germany.  He has been coaching for 10+ years at all youth levels most recently with the NJ Freeze.  Barry is an Intermediate level III USA Hockey Coach. 

Alex Shindelman - Midget Short Season Head Coach. Alex has an outstanding resume spanning his playing (20+ years) and coaching (7+ years) career. Alex will also assist Coach Weaver with organizational skill development sessions.  Alex played for the Latvian National team and he is currently on staff at Skylands as a clinic instructor. He is an Advanced level IV USA Hockey Coach.

Matt Higgins - Midget Short Season.  Matt is with his first year at the Kings.  Matt has coached youth hockey for 15+ years.  Matt is an Intermediate level III USA Hockey Coach. 

Matt Lalonde - Bantam Head Coach.  Matt comes to the Kings with an impressive playing and coaching resume.  His playing career includes Prep School, Jr A, and the ECAC at Clarkson University.  Matt has coached at all levels from various youth teams / organizations to public and private NJ High Schools.  He is a Intermediate Level III USA Hockey Coach. 

Gerry Iannuzzi - Bantam Head Coach.  Gerry comes to the Kings with 10+ years of coaching experience ranging from youth (Bandits) to High School (Ramsey).  Gerry has attained the highest level certification from USA Hockey - Masters Level V. 

Mike Latronica - PeeWee Head Coach.  Mike has been coaching for over 4 years at the youth level.  He has also led the West Milford Hockey Association as a member of their Board of Directors.  Mike is an Advanced level IV USA Hockey Coach.

Dick Neufeld - Squirt Head Coach.  Dick enters his first year with the Kings by way of his Canadian playing career and local coaching assignments.  Dick played Tier I hockey during his youth in Canada as well as JR A.  Dick is a level II USA Hockey Coach

Tim Shea - Mite or Squirt Head Coach.  Tim has been coaching for over 6 years and has earned his Advanced level IV USA Coaching certification. Last year, Tim led our PeeWee team to an outstanding season and tie for second in the NJYHL. The previous season, Tim had lead his team to a second place finish in NJYHL and to the Silver Stick International Finals in Ontario.

Bob Salmanowitz - Mite Head Coach.  Bob started his coaching career in 1991 in the Morris County program.  Bob brings a great and unique perspective to the Kings as he currently is NJYHL Assistant Referee-in-Chief and conducts / leads the Atlantic District referee seminars.  Bob will lead the mite level and help the kids develop and understand the rules and have fun!
